This dance originates in Paris, France inspired by the Angolan dance style Kizomba. Upon arrival to Paris, Kizomba was influenced by western music, hip hop, tango, and more. The dance has multiple expressions including French Style Kizomba, Kizomba Fusion, and most popular Urban Kiz.
